Here is a real classic...the All-In-One Kitchen Toy. It has a stove top, a sink, a refrigerator, an oven and so many different features it is hard to list them all. In fact, this is the toy I (your friendly web page developer) bought my great nephew Jack (my nephew's son) for his third birthday. That's right, I bought it for him...just because I work for a toy company doesn't mean I get free toys. And let me tell you, this toy was a big hit!

I bought Jack the kitchen toy (kitchen toys are not just for girls) because of an incident that happened recently. You see, my nephew and his family (including Jack) came to my home for a visit. It turns out that Jack is at the age where he likes helping his parents in the kitchen...stirring batter, pouring ingredients into bowls, scrambling eggs, etc. Anyway, since he enjoys doing that kind of stuff, as most children do, his parents bought him a little table top kitchen that he plays with a lot.

Well, during their visit I very quietly went down to my basement when everyone was sleeping and resurrected my daughter's old kitchen toy we bought nearly twenty years ago. I set it up, cleaned it up, and stocked it with accessories. In the morning, when everyone awoke, the kitchen toy greeted a very happy boy named Jack...who immediately began to play with it.

In the meantime, my nephew told me that he would love to find Jack a kitchen toy like the one we have, but none of the toy stores he went to had anything like it. They had large expensive wooden sets, they had small table top sets, but he couldn't find a reasonably priced, light-weight, well-made plastic all-in-one kitchen toy similar to what I had at home.

Well, I was about to attend the International Toy Fair in New York, so I knew I had a mission...find a company that makes a great all-in-one kitchen toy--and I did!

Two months later I drove from Maryland to New York for Jack's third birthday party, and in the back of the car was the all-in-one kitchen toy. The night before Jack's birthday party, while Jack was sleeping, we assembled the kitchen to greet him in the morning!

It took us about twenty minutes to set up and assemble Jack's All-In-One Kitchen. Although we had a few people doing the set up, we were taking our time and taking pictures. One person can probably set up the kitchen in the same amount of time.

Everything is packaged in the box very nicely. Assembly is extremely easy...just pop the parts together. Decorative decals are already affixed to the parts.

Assembling bottom of kitchen.

The only part that was somewhat difficult was placing the white bottom body into the blue base.
The above picture shows us trying to fit the bottom into the base. We changed tactics and found it easier to connect all four sides of the body together, turn it upside down, and then fit the blue base onto the body. It was simple that way!

Batteries not needed, but if you add a set of batteries to the stove-top, the burners will glow and make a sizzling noise when turned on. A cute extra feature!

SIDEBAR--When Jack woke up in the morning his mom and dad kept him away from the area where the kitchen was standing. They wanted my family to be present when Jack was given the kitchen (which wasn't really necessary).

Anyway, when we were up and about, we showed Jack the kitchen. Well, he remembered the kitchen in my house, and thought I had brought ours along to play with--he said "Howie, let me show you my kitchen." and wanted to take me to his play room to see his table top kitchen. It was very cute. But we explained the kitchen was for him, and no sooner did he start playing with it!

As you can tell, by this write-up, we really like this toy. It has everything you would want in a kitchen toy and more. It is well made, light weight, easy to assemble, has a small footprint so it doesn't take up too much space and it has a lot of play value.

We loved the realistic cooking sizzle sounds and glowing flame burner lights you get after adding a few batteries, but again the batteries are really not needed to enjoy this toy.

Although the contents can change slightly, the current configuration (at this writing) besides the kitchen itself is 4 kitchen utensils, cutting board, cutting knife, cola bottle, dressing bottle, milk bottle, mustard bottle, 2 food cans, 6 ice cubes, 4 food boxes, 5 vegetables, pot, pan, 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 plates, 2 cups and 4 hooks

Yep, this is a jam packed 45 piece set that comes fully stocked with everything your little chef needs to create a fabulous feast!

This classic toy is for ages 3 and up!
