Such is the case with the "Color Me" craft sets. "Color Me" was founded by Dr. Paul Marciano. When he started his company, Dr. Marciano adopted the company philosophy that giving is good, and he decided that 10% of the proceeds he received from his products would be donated to charity. How we hooked up with Dr. Marciano, and his wonderful company, is an interesting story. Dr. Marciano is the grandson of Ludwig Bemelmans, the creator and author of the classic children's character, Madeline. Our company, Live And Learn, was the first online company to sell Madeline products. Over the years, we have had a relationship with Dr. Marciano's brother, John Bemelmans Marciano, an artist and writer who has continued to keep the Madeline character alive and fresh. Anyway, to make a long story short, John Bemelmans Marciano told his brother to contact us about his new product line; which he did. Although we do not normally carry craft kits, we were very impressed with Dr. Marciano, his company's philosophy, the "Made In America" aspect of his products, and his company's policy to donate 10% of its proceeds to charity. So, we told him to send us some samples to examine and test; which he did. After receiving the samples there was no question..."Color Me" products were definitely Live And Learn quality. To get them started, the basic design is already printed on the soft pillowcase. All children need to do is apply their imagination to create a colorful pillowcase that is all their own. First, they color in the design with their choice of colors.
