My First Swing Is For Corolle 12 Inch Baby Dolls.

Corolle has always been an innovator when it comes to play doll accessories, and with My First Swing they continue to be in the forefront of design, imagination and creativity.

My First Swing by Corolle is an adorable 12 inch baby doll accessory. When it arrived at our warehouse we decided to open one up to give you a candid, first hand review of the item (and what it takes to put it together for your child since adult assembly is required).

It took us about ten minutes to put the swing together!

The swing and mobile is "kid powered"...No batteries required!
Oh, it swings from side to side not front to back.

When we opened the box we were slightly intimidated because there were a lot of pieces to put together. And when we looked at the instructions it appeared there weren't any written in English. But we took a deep breath, and looked again...lo and behold, instructions are written in English as well as French and other languages.

But guess what, the pictures on the instruction sheet was all we really needed...the pictures and diagrams were very clear and understandable.

Since we were afraid of making a mistake we did each step very slowly and cautiously, but if we had to put together another swing we could probably do it in a minute or less. Although assembly is quick and easy, our advice is to take your time...once pieces are snapped together, they can't be taken part.

When you need to connect pieces do not be afraid to push them together firmly...they need to be snapped together tight to be secure.

Once the swing is put together it is extremely cute and adorable, but don't be fooled by the pictures you see online, the swing is smaller than you may think.

The swing's dimensions are twenty inches tall, seventeen inches wide and fourteen inches deep, which means it is small enough to sit on a table top or to play with on the floor.

The swing is made for Corolle's twelve inch baby dolls, which at this writing includes the Calin and Tidoo line of dolls. Although the swing can also be used with an eleven inch Chou doll, you couldn't go any smaller nor could you use it for any doll larger than twelve inches.

The swing is "kid powered" meaning it needs to be pushed to swing back and forth. One push will let the swing go back and forth (from side to side) a few times. It would be nice if the swing could rock longer, but the short cycle encourages children to be more interactive with the swing and their baby doll.

Oh, the mobile on top is also "kid powered" and needs to be manually turned. When it is turned it makes a clicking sound.

Corolle's swing is small, cute and adorable. It requires no batteries and is a unique accessory for imaginary doll play---you couldn't ask for more!
