As crazy as it sounds, Ride-On Vehicles are a child's first set of wheels. First come Ride-On Vehicles, then tricycles or peddle cars, then bicycles and then...gasp...real cars! No, we are not trying to rush your child into adulthood, but one day your child will grow up and drive a real car. Now, this might sound wacky, but we believe that riding toys set the foundation for their future skills as a real driver.

Think about it, children learn their initial turning skills and maneuverability with ride-on toys, tricycles and bicycles. The more practice they have on wheels as they grow, the more skills they will have when they finally slip behind that real steering wheel for the first time.

Is this a reach to sell you a toy? Somewhat, but if a child learns to understand the limits of their riding toys, and becomes skilled at using them, then they are more apt to respect the limits of a car when they are in their teen years and think they are immortal.

Anyway, here are the specifics for the ride-on toys we have for you...

The ride-on toys we feature are well made, old fashioned, metal ride-on toys. They have vibrantly colored steel bodies with detailed plastic and chrome accents. They have a real, working steering column, plastic fenders and rubber tires. They are a very nice 29-1/2" long and the operator weight limit is 42 pounds.

In addition, the Pink Coupe has a working horn, whereas the Fire Truck features a metal bell and wooden ladders.

There is some assembly required, and of course assembly instructions are included.

For children 12 months to 3 years old.

Before you order a Metal Speedster please note the following: 

• The U. S. domestic UPS shipping charge for this toy is $10.00 (except Alaska and Hawaii). The shipping charge does not combine with shipping charges for other items ordered at the same time.

• Due to the special shipping fee for this item, our shopping cart system will display incorrect totals (as will the initial email message you receive). You will receive an adjusted email invoice after our data input personnel review your order. 

• This item is shipped in a special shipping carton. Therefore, we cannot gift wrap or enclose a gift tag for this item. Also, the outside of the carton has a picture of the Speedster, if this is to be a surprise gift make sure child does not see the box when it is delivered.

• This item is sold as a final sale with no return privileges. But don't worry, you are guaranteed to receive a perfect vehicle. Although all sales are final, any vehicles damaged in transit shipped to a domestic UPS address in the continental U.S. will be replaced. Report damages within 7 days. Be sure to keep the carton and packing material for UPS inspection and/or return. Speedsters shipped outside of the continental U.S. do not come with any warranty.
