To begin, Super Scrabble is not just a cosmetic remake of the famous game. Yes, there are travel versions and deluxe versions of Scrabble. But they are still your basic, regular game of Scrabble. This on the other hand, is truly a new version of the game. It has a larger board with more spaces, on the board are more bonus squares, there are twice the number of tiles, and there are two brand new bonus squares on the board...Quadruple Letter Score and Quadruple Word Score. All of the new enhancements add up to a refreshed, new exciting version of Scrabble! Because of the added features you are able to score higher, find and formulate words that can't be made in regular Scrabble, and you can play a more interesting game of Scrabble. If you like regular Scrabble you will adore this version. And if your children find regular Scrabble too challenging, this version will make play easier for them. I played the game with my wife and two daughter (ages 12 and 16). My older daughter (who loves word games...she is an avid Word Racer player at games.yahoo.com) was blown away when she was able to use all her tiles during one move for the fifty bonus points. Something she never did when playing regular Scrabble. And my younger daughter, who has a hard time with regular Scrabble, was very proud of the words she was able to place on the board during our game. The only person who wasn't thrilled playing the game was my wife...because I beat her! This is a great remake of a classic game. And when the manufacturer made this version, they made it with top of the line materials...solid wood racks, solid wood tiles, heavy duty game board, cloth tile bag and the instruction book also includes a brief history of the game. Scrabble is a great word game, and Super Scrabble is super great word game. By the way, Super Scrabble is endorsed by the National Scrabble Association! For ages 8 and up...2 to 4 players! Super
