Although the same building properties can be found in today' sets as the original set from 1913, Erector sets have been improved with the addition of flexible metal pieces in some sets, new shapes and accessories in others, and some sets even include remote control features!

But this is a basic, retro style set without bells and whistles besides the included three volt motor. It is the type we happen to like best because this really cool set reminds us of Erector sets of the past. Using all metal pieces, this set builds at least eight great motorized projects including the awesome ferris wheel shown above.
