When I was a child, which my children refer to as the dinosaur age, I received an Erector set.

It was a small Erector set. It didn't have many pieces, but to me it was one of the best toys I received as a gift. And you have to understand, I was not one of those kids that loved building things, nor did I have any great aptitude for building stuff.
