Look at that ship. It's size, detailing and quality are unbelievable! Okay, we need to be honest with you. We call this the Venture Pirate Ship. Our competitors call this the Venture Pirate Ship. But the truth is, the Venture is not a pirate ship. It is an old style wooden sailing ship with cloth sails, cannons, crows nest, etc. And yes, the Venture even has a plank. But it is not a pirate ship. And although the Venture is not a pirate ship, the odds are--your child will decide it is a pirate ship anyway! The truth is, the Venture is a combat ready sailing ship of olden days. And it belongs to the ever courageous, Captain Jack. Captain Jack and his crew (Jake Black, Momma Rose and Caaww the Parrot) are "good guys" who sail the seas to return treasures to the rightful owners! But since so many other places refer to this as the Venture Pirate Set, we do also. We don't want to confuse customers who may have been comparison shopping. We will really appreciate the sale, so think about it...) Okay, back to the Venture. The Venture is a beautiful, huge, solid wood, well-made ship of yesteryear. It comes with cloth sales, cannons, play figures, and other accessories. It is a very impressive set. In fact, it is one of the best toys we have seen in this price range. And when the Venture is set up for play, it is one of the most awesome toys we have ever seen! You can't really appreciate how cool the Venture is, until you see it in person. It is absolutely magnificent. It will knock your socks off.
The ship is magnificent we had to show it to you again! Of course, the purpose of this web page is to sell you the Venture wooden sailing ship. And while that may be true, the purpose of this web page is to also tell you everything you need to know about the Venture sailing ship before you make the purchase. And that includes anything which may be considered negative. Our thoughts are...if we are going to ask you to spend about a hundred dollars on a toy, then it is only fair that you know exactly what you are getting for your money. Luckily, this is a pretty terrific toy without many drawbacks, but there is one. The Venture sailing ship needs assembly. When you first open the box (we have a picture of the open box below) you may be a little intimidated. But if you are patient, you shouldn't have a problem setting up (or helping your child set up) the Venture. On the other hand, older children may love the challenge of building the ship by themselves. 
Assembly is required. But once the Venture is built, and you see it in all its glory, your jaw will drop open. You will agree, this is one awesome ship, and worth a lot more than its actual cost!
