The Magnetic Edition of MightyMind comes with a complete set of plastic tiles and pattern cards. It also includes a special set of strong die-cut magnets with adhesive to secure each magnet to its respective tile. The set comes in a special metal storage container whose lid also serves as playboard holder. You place a pattern card on the lid, and when the tiles are placed on the pattern card they will stick and stay secure. This is a great set for traveling!

MightyMind is a tangram type game. Tangrams by definition are a Chinese puzzle made by cutting a square of thin material into five triangles, a square, and a rhomboid  which are capable of being recombined in many different figures.

This game comes with many more shapes and the goal is to eventually be able to combine the shapes into specific patterns of figures, animals, people, etc. The set begins with easy challenges (to build confidence) and progresses to harder challenges for the child.

Although it can be played with a friend, it is best suited for playing alone. Children learn to think for themselves. And they get to accomplish rewarding tasks independently without competitive pressure.
