Rhythm Sticks

Classic rhythm instrument. Two dowels approximately one foot in length each. One dowel is smooth and one dowel is fluted (has grooves). Rhythm instruments are tapped together to keep the beat. Or the two dowels are slid across one another to give a different sound. A combination of banging and sliding gives an interesting effect. This is the most common and easiest to use of the rhythm instrument family.
