The Kinder-Glockenspiel is a well crafted instrument from Germany. It features a sturdy plastic resonator base, with steel sound bars and wooden mallets. The 11 steel keys feature accurate tuning from C3 to F4. And to help young children along, notes are color coded.

This school quality glockenspiel measures approximately 12 inches in length. And, the durable plastic resonator base has a built in holder for the two SCH 40 mallets that are included.

The sound of the Kinder-Glockenspiel is beautiful. It has a soft and melodic sound with a sweet tone and accurate pitch. It is a real instrument made by a real music company, Sonor of Germany.

The Glockenspiel has an insert with playing instructions and the music for 8 songs. The songs show the notes and are also color coded. Childhood favorites such as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Row, Row, Row Your Boat are included.

Although many people refer to this instrument as an xylophone, the truth is real xylophones have wooden bars and glockenspiels have metal bars. The glockenspiel is a great beginner instrument to teach a child to play real songs.
