Description

Although this web site features a wide variety of Lauri educational toys, puzzles and learning aids - Number Play is our personal favorite. We used Number Play at home with our daughters for many years. Number Play appears to be a puzzle, yet it is actually ten puzzles in one! When we used Number Play with our daughters, it stimulated their imagination more than any other toy in our house. And boy, did we have toys!

We used our Number Play in ways that Lauri never even thought about! Although we used it as a traditional puzzle, we also used it as a counting tool for simple arithmetic; for object and number recognition; as pretend food; as objects for story telling; as tiny blocks; and other ways. Number Play set the stage for many memorable hours of creative learning fun with our daughters.

Number Play is an entertaining way to introduce essential math skills to young learners. There are 10 individual puzzles measuring approximately 5-3/4 inches by 3-1/2 inches. Each puzzle has a number and the same number of objects to count and fit into the puzzle.

Number Play is made from Lauri's famous crepe rubber. Lauri crepe rubber puzzles and learning aids are a school staple, and have been around for many years. Children are attracted to the unique soft feel and pebbled textures of Lauri crepe pieces. Whereas, educators and parents love Lauri crepe rubber products because they're latex-free, washable and durable. Lauri puzzle and learning aid pieces won't curl, crease or tear. Parents and educators also appreciate the educational value of the Lauri products because they encourage concentration, patience and quiet play.

We highly recommend Number Play. It was one of our favorites, it may be yours too! Number Play uses familiar objects to help teach the meaning of numbers from 1 to 10. And like we said, it can teach a lot more if you use your imagination! So, if you like playing, and teaching your child at the same time, give Number Play a try.

Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Please note the colors of the pieces may vary from what is shown.
