Please Note: It is our policy to be totally upfront with you, so we want to tell you all of the "fine print" about ordering the Butterfly Pavilion. If you order the Butterfly Pavilion there is a $5.00 handling fee which must be submitted when you are ready to receive your live caterpillar larvae.

But if you do not need a complete kit because you already have a butterfly house or enclosure, just order the caterpillar larvae certificate by itself. There is no handling fee to receive caterpillar larvae when you purchase the caterpillar larvae certificate, which does not come with an enclosure.

This winner of an Oppenheim Best Toy Award will let you raise Painted Lady butterflies while learning all about metamorphosis. Although all of the caterpillars you receive may not survive and become butterflies, at least half of them will. But who knows, you may be lucky and all of them will grow strong and healthy!

There is no better way to study nature than to study it up close.

Please mail the redeemable coupon and the required handling fee approximately 1-3 weeks before you are ready to begin your butterfly garden. This way, your caterpillars and supplies will arrive at the correct time.

When the caterpillars and food arrive you will see the caterpillars eat, grow, spin silk, and then transform into beautiful chrysalides.

Place the chrysalides in the butterfly house and wait for your butterflies to emerge. The metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly takes approximately 3 weeks to complete.

After studying the butterflies up close for a few days, take them outside and set them free!
