STORY TIME

The Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

Once upon a time there was a tricky wolf that lived in the forest. This wolf dressed in disguises so he could sneak up on people and animals in order to eat them. Yes, he was a tricky and sneaky wolf!

He had all types of plans for eating people and animals. One of his plans was to eat Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother. And then, dress up like the Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother so he could fool Little Red Riding Hood and eat her. But that's a whole other story!

One day the wolf left the forest to check out the new town being built. When he first entered the town he thought he was in big trouble. You see, when the wolf got to town he wasn't wearing any disguise. He looked just like what he was, a wolf. And unfortunately, he was seen by a little boy who ran away real fast crying "wolf, wolf". Yes, the boy cried wolf, but luckily for the wolf's sake, none of the town's folk came after the wolf.

"Whew, that was a close call." Said the wolf to himself. "I wonder why no one came after me?"

Anyway, very cautiously and quietly the wolf sneaked around the town. He made a mental note of who lived where. He memorized the addresses of the three little pigs. He decided the pigs would be an easy target. "A quick huff and puff should blow their houses down", he thought.

And then he came to the farm. It was a big and beautiful farm. The wolf decided that the farm was the place to get his next few meals. There were pigs, ducks and geese living on the farm. And of course, there were sheep living on the farm. The wolf just loved sheep!

As quickly and quietly as he entered town, the wolf left. He went home and thought about different ways he could sneak onto the farm. And then he hit upon a great idea. He would wear a sheep outfit!

The next day the wolf returned to the farm wearing a sheep disguise. He went to the field with the other sheep and hung out. He fooled the sheep. And he fooled the shepherd watching the sheep.

In the evening the shepherd put him and the other sheep in the barn. When the barn door was closed the hungry wolf began to smile to himself. "Another great plan works..."
