WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP? - The time it takes us to process a regular order before shipment varies depending on the items ordered and the complexity of the order. At this time most orders will ship within 2 business days!

Orders shipping to APO/FPO and International addresses may take an additional day or two to leave our warehouse. And orders that have a personalized item included typically take an additional 3-5 business days to ship.

In the event packages are being delayed beyond the posted times on this page you will be notified and given the option to cancel the order.

We ship all regular domestic orders going to the contiguous United States via UPS or USPS in the sequence received. All orders outside the mainland United States are shipped via the United States Post Office via Priority or First Class mail.

When your order ships an email message is sent with the tracking number and delivery information.

If there is a delay in processing your order or a problem with the order, you will be notified promptly by phone and/or email.

- Unless a product states it ships for free, or has its own special shipping fee, our shipping/handling fee for orders going to the 48 Continental United States and APO/FPO addresses are based on the total amount of the order.

In the event an order's actual shipping costs far exceeds the posted schedule, or the complexity of the order requires extra handling, we will contact you prior to shipment to authorize an additional shipping/handling fee. Please note this is an unusual circumstance and this situation only arises on a very rare occasion.

Shipping Fees - Domestic Orders To 48 Mainland States and APO/FPO

Most orders to the 48 contiguous U. S. have a flate rate fee of $6.95

Most orders going to Alaska and Hawaii have a flat rate fee of $14.95

Certain individual items may ship for free, and a few extremely heavy items may have their own special shipping fee. If there is free shipping or a special shipping fee applies, the information will be clearly noted on the product's web page. If you order items which ship for free or which have their own special shipping fee, and also order other items that have a shipping charge, then you will be charged a shipping fee based on the total value of only those items subject to the shipping charge.

If you return items that received free shipping, our original shipping cost to you will be deducted from your refund.

We do our best to honor our shipping policy, but there are certain occasions where a shipping fee will need to be added or adjusted, such as an extremely large, oversized order with heavy items going across the country or to a remote rural area. If we feel an order needs a shipping fee adjustment, you will be contacted before the order is fully processed. We will try to work with you finding common ground that is fair to you and us, and quite naturally, you will have the option to cancel the order if you do not want to continue with the order. Please note we rarely have the need to adjust the shipping fee.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE DELIVERED? - Delivery times vary depending upon where the package is going...domestic, military base, international address, etc. We ship from Maryland, and the closer you are, the faster you will receive your package. For instance, orders to PA or NJ usually take one to three business days after leaving our warehouse. Orders to CA or WA may take 3 to 7 business days after leaving our warehouse.

As a general rule of thumb...after leaving our warehouse, packages usually take 3 business days or less to arrive at destinations in the eastern half of the United States, and 3 to 6 business days to arrive in the western half of the United States.

The map at the top of the page provides an estimated delivery time for the contiguous United States.

Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska usually take 3 to 4 days to arrive after leaving our warehouse, and outside the United States arrival times vary...some packages arrive in less than a week, but most arrive in about 2 to 3 weeks. Delivery times to APO/FPO addresses vary based on country.

Although it does not happen often, packages do get misrouted for various reasons and delivery is delayed. No organization is perfect...not Live And Learn, not UPS and not the Postal Service. Thus, by placing an order you are agreeing not to hold us liable if a package does not arrive by the date you expect, whether it is Live And Learn's fault, the carrier's fault, or for some other reason regardless of the method the package is shipped or the amount paid for the service. Our only commitment is to ship the package timely by the agreed upon service.

CAN I HAVE FASTER SHIPPING? - We know there are times you want an order faster. Since costs for Next Day service vary by package weight and destination, we do not charge a set amount. For faster shipping options, call us at 443-394-8501 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time, or email us at for a "Faster Shipping" quote. You need to tell us exactly what you want to order, and the zip code the package will be shipping to. If you need next day delivery, the fees can be extremely high depending on what you are ordering and where it's going. If you are not in the yellow area of the map at the top of the page, you should expect the cost of next day shipping to be at least $25.00 and in most cases it will be more. Shipments to the yellow area of the map may not incur any additional fees or if there is an extra fee, it is significantly less than $25.00.

We know there are times you may not need next day or expedited shipping, but you do need your package to arrive by a specific date. The map above does not provide the exact delivery time. If you need to make sure your package will be scheduled for delivery by a specific date, you can include a message in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION section found right after your billing address when you check out. Tell us the date you need to have the package and if the package will be scheduled for delivery by that date or sooner, we will process and ship the order. If the package will be scheduled to arrive after the date you provide then we will get in touch with you and let you know your faster shipping options as well as the additional costs. Please be sure to include the best telephone number where you can be reached during the day. We will hold your order if we know it will not be scheduled to arrive by the date you specify.


We understand that sometimes you may change your mind after placing an order for a variety of reasons. Depending where your order is in the processing chain, we may or may not be able to cancel the order. We will do our best to locate the package and honor your request, but if we cannot, then you will need to contact us for a return authorization when you receive the package (see Returns page).

In addition, just as we understand that you may change your mind after placing an order, you also need to understand that once you place an order, the credit card fees we need to pay to process your charge, are not refundable to us. That's right, the minute you submit your order, it costs us money, and that money is not refunded to us if you cancel your order. And of course, by the time you contact us to cancel an order, we may have already invested time, labor and materials processing your order, and may expend a bit amount of effort hunting down your package, therefore we do charge an order cancellation fee ranging from $2.95 - $5.95 depending on the amount of money we paid to the credit card company, and what stage of the processing your order is in.
